Duhok Polytechnic University Hosts Seminar on Entrepreneurial Bootcamp


Duhok Polytechnic University, in collaboration with the American University of Kurdistan's Center for Academic Practices and Assessments (CAPA), successfully hosted a seminar on the Innovation Challenge Bootcamp (CAPAi) on Thursday, 15 February, 2024.

The seminar offered attendees an in-depth overview of the CAPAi program, including how to apply for the scholarship and the ways it supports individuals in building their startups. Khonav Ibrahim, the CAPAi Marketing Assistant, led the session, providing valuable insights into the program's benefits and application process.

The Innovation Challenge Bootcamp, spearheaded by Raffi Simonian, Executive Director of the Epicenter for Action Research at UCLA, is recognized for its comprehensive and hands-on approach to fostering innovative business thinking. Held at the American University of Kurdistan, the program provides scholarships to promising young professionals. It covers essential topics such as Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Analytical Thinking, and Technology for Startups, with a strong emphasis on creative problem-solving.

This seminar served as a unique opportunity for participants to learn about this transformative program, which aims to empower and inspire through a dynamic two-week boot camp scheduled for the summer. Attendees left equipped with the knowledge and motivation to apply for the program and take the first steps towards launching their innovative startups.

For the 2024 CAPAi Bootcamp, three themes have been chosen: Financial Technology, Education, and Tourism & Hospitality.
